Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats have just voted to keep the government closed, on day one of the Schumer Shutdown.
Here’s the news:
By a vote of 55-45, the #Senate did not invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.5371, Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2026.
Dem senators voting in favor: Cortez Masto, Fetterman, and King.
GOP Senator Paul voted No.
