The US Surgeon General, Dr. Jerome Adams, was on NBC’s Today Show this morning and warned that it’s going to get bad this week because people aren’t taking this seriously and following the guidelines to stay at home.

Adams, with urgency his voice, said that all of these people going to the beach and ignoring the ‘stay at home’ guidelines are the reason this virus will continue to spread. He urgently warned that people must stay at home and avoid unnecessary travel, as well as groups over 10, in order to keep this virus from spreading like it has in Italy.

The tweet seems a bit cryptic to me, but regardless of what it means, Adams says everyone needs to act as if they have the virus right now and understand they could be spreading it to someone else.
