Paul Ryan made clear today that he’s not going anywhere any time soon, despite what a Politico story said about his plans for retirement:
Ryan called the story ‘very irresponsible’ and said it was based on ‘faulty speculation’.
Apparently he met with his rank and file in the House today to assure them that he has no plans to retire.
I believe him, but something tells me a year qualifies as outside the range of ‘any time soon’.
So I guess we’ll see in a year.
