Victims of Government: Family with special need’s daughter to pay $4,000 more per year because Obamacare…

Senator Ron Johnson has posted a new video in the Victims of Government series, this time featuring the consequences of government intrusion into healthcare as told through one woman’s experience.

From the description:

President Obama promised that under the Affordable Care Act, “if you have health insurance, the only thing that changes for you is you’re more secure.” Not true for a pastor from Neenah, Wis., who at 62 was told she can’t keep the health plan she chose. A new plan on the Obamacare exchange will cost her an extra $4,000 a year. What difference does government’s intrusion make? With Obamacare, it is an assault on Wisconsin families’ freedom, budgets, and health and well-being.

Government intrusion is “an assault on their freedom, their budget, their health and well-being.” These stories are dismissed by the left as inconsequential or the cost of doing business for a nation seeking to ensure universal coverage. A strange sentiment coming from the same party that trotted out personal story after personal story in the lead up to the passage of the ACA in the first place.

Kathi’s hardships are not trivial or anomalous to her. She and an increasingly countless number of other Americans are facing the bad news that Obamacare is bringing directly to their lives.

I’m from the government, and I’m here to help. Frightening words indeed.
