Attorney Alan Dershowitz was on Newsmax today responding to the news of Trump’s indictment and he explained why the case brought by District Attorney Alvin Bragg will quickly be thrown out of court.
Dershowitz called the move to indict Trump a “foolish, foolish decision” and said it should be thrown out on statute of limitation grounds, noting this has long passed.

Dershowitz says that the first motion Trump’s lawyers should file is to have the case dismsissed on the statute of limitation grounds, as well as the alledged crime doesn’t fit the misdemeanor or the felony.
He does say that the New York Court of Appeals has a rocky track record on granting these types of dismissals, so it’s impossible to say with assurity that it will happen.
