Metropolitan police in London arrested a man who was holding a “Hamas is terrorists” sign even though he was the victim of an assault by pro-Hamas protesters.
Police rushed in accusing him of assault instead of the actual terrorist sympathizers who attacked him:
The two views were from posts on X. This from a journalist who you can hear talking with the police at the end.

And this is the one showing what led to the arrest. You can clearly see he was the one who was attacked:
It’s even worse. Here is the video that led to the arrest. The Iranian activist was just standing with an anti-Hamas sign and was attacked by pro-Hamas protestors.
Instead of confronting his attackers, police put him in handcuffs.

The Metropolitan police released this statement, saying they released him after they reviewed all the video and claimed it had nothing to do with his anti-Hamas sign:

I’m glad they released him but they should have done a better job of figuring out who attacked who before actually arresting someone. They didn’t get his statement or investigate anything. They just rushed in and arrested him when they saw his sign.
This is the man who was arrested and he says the police wouldn’t even give him back his sign because it was too dangerous or something. Which means the pro-Hamas protesters get free speech and he does not. Unbelievable.
The police apparently decided to victim blame and, instead of protecting speech rights, told @GhorbaniiNiyak that it’s too dangerous for him to hold a sign that states official UK policy about Hamas being a terrorist group on the streets of London. pic.twitter.com/fUtwLOd6Zq
