In a completely disgusting moment, CNN’s Christiane Amanpour compared the last four years of Trump to the Nazis who began their purge of Jewish people at Kristallnacht:

Amanpour opened her show saying Kristallnacht happened 82 years ago this week, noting “it was the Nazis’ warning shot across the bow of our human civilization that led to the genocide of a whole identity…” While showing Nazis throwing books into a large bonfire, Amanpour stated “…and in that tower of burning books, it led to an attack on fact, knowledge, history and truth.”
Her very next words were “After four years of a modern day assault on those same values by Donald Trump, the Biden/Harris team pledges a return to norms.”
Amanpour should be fired for making such a comparison. It’s not just an attack on Trump, but every one of us who voted for Trump. But as you know, the people at CNN agree with her and won’t do a damn thing about it.
Tom Elliott responded to the clip saying “Cable news is basically the Olympics of Stupidity.” That’s true, but it’s more than just stupidity. Borrowing his phrase, I’d say it’s more the Olympics of Hate when it comes to President Trump, with hosts and pundits trying to outdo the next with their hate-filled comparisons of Trump to Hitler, Nazis, Stalin, and any other racist or oppressive figure in recent history.
