The radical socialist Ilhan Omar actually blamed the Minneapolis police for the crime surge that’s happening in her city.

Omar says that the lawlessness in the city is the result of “police choosing not to fulfill their oath of office”. Seriously.
It’s amazing what radical socialists will say to push their America-hating agenda. And her comments are, of course, absurd on their face.
Minneapolis was the epicenter of very toxic police hatred last year after the death of George Floyd. We remember well the riots around the city which resulted even in the police department being burned down. Police officers have left the city en masse because of the toxic environment.
If that weren’t bad enough, the leftist city council also voted to defund the police department of millions of dollars.
On top of this, the city witnessed Derek Chauvin being convicted of 2nd degree murder earlier this year when the main cause of Floyd’s death was an overdose. The cops that remain in Minneapolis are undoubtedly scared to do what’s needed for fear of being prosecuted and thrown in prison for the rest of their lives.
And yet Omar has the gall to claim police officers are choosing not to fulfill their oath of office???? What an evil woman.
