[UPDATE: COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS PULLED] – Michigan Democratic State Rep calls on ‘soldiers’ to make Trumpers pay…

In a Facebook live video, a Democrat state representative in Michigan issued a warning to Trump supporters and told those who were ‘soldiers’ to “make them pay”:

Cynthia Johnson actually says in the clip above:

“So this is just a warning to you Trumpers. Be careful. Walk lightly. We ain’t playing with you. Enough of the shenanigans. Enough is enough.

And for those of you who are soldiers, you know how to do it. Do it right. Be in order. Make them pay.”

But this is only part of the video. In the fuller video, Johnson talks in vague tones about…I don’t know what exactly. She’s telling her facebook followers not to get upset and curse people out with whom they presumably disagree, but to “hit their asses in the pocket book”.

As an example of hitting their “asses in the pocket book”, she then mentions how a bright Illinois woman ‘voicemailed’ her, anonymously, and that the FBI and State police found the woman. She doesn’t mention what the woman said in the voicemail, but that’s when she starts with her Trumper warning.

She doesn’t say who these ‘soldiers’ are who she’s telling to make Trumpers pay. I don’t know if she’s talking about the FBI and state police, or just people generally on the left. In context, I would say the former. But it’s not terribly clear.

In a new video today Johnson sent another message to those who she called ‘soldiers’, calling them soldiers of Christ, soldiers against racism, soldiers for black and brown people who are being mistreated, etc. She told them it was time to ‘rise up’:

I don’t know if these are the same soldiers she’s talking to in the first video or different soldiers, but I’m just putting it out there to give you more context.

If I had to guess, I would say Johnson isn’t actually making a blanket threat to Trump supporters like some are suggesting. She may just be talking to those who are making voicemail threats against her and, perhaps, that’s what she was referring to as ‘shenanigans’. The context would seem to support this.

UPDATE: The Speaker of the Michigan House is not happy about Johnson’s video and has already pulled her committee assignments:
