This morning Mitt Romney gave a very frank assessment of President Trump, one that he’s sure to have mixed feelings about to say the least:
"I believe his policies have been, by and large, a good deal better than I might have expected, but some of the things he's said are not ones that I would aspire for my grand-kids to adopt."

On the one hand Romney praises Trump for exceeding his expectations in regards to tax, regulatory, and public lands policies, saying Trump’s policies have been a ‘good deal better’ than he might have expected.
On the other hand Romney suggests that if Trump says something controversial, that he’ll call him out on it:
But if the president were to say something that is highly divisive or racist or misogynistic, why I’ll call him out on it because I think it’s important for people to know exactly where one stands.
Romney was then asked if Trump is a role model, and he says no:
I don’t think that I would point to the president as a role model for my grandkids on the basis of his personal style. He’s departed, in some cases, from the truth and has attacked it in a way that is not entirely appropriate. …Some of the things he’s said are not ones that I would aspire for my grandkids to adopt.
There you go, something for everyone.
