Virginia governor’s election night open thread [YOUNGKIN STILL LEADS BIG WITH 60% IN]

The polls are set to close at 7pm in Virginia tonight (in just a few minutes) and we will then learn (hopefully soon) whether Glenn Youngkin has won the state or not.

As we discussed earlier, the momentum has been swinging Youngkin’s way and hopefully it carried him through today.

According to WTOP, a new change in state law means “election officials should be able to tally votes faster than in previous years.”

“As soon as the polls close at 7 p.m., local election offices may begin tallying absentee ballots and in-person voting figures because of the new election law.”

It’s early, but with 14% in Youngkin has a huge lead….
