The polls are set to close at 7pm in Virginia tonight (in just a few minutes) and we will then learn (hopefully soon) whether Glenn Youngkin has won the state or not.
As we discussed earlier, the momentum has been swinging Youngkin’s way and hopefully it carried him through today.
According to WTOP, a new change in state law means “election officials should be able to tally votes faster than in previous years.”
“As soon as the polls close at 7 p.m., local election offices may begin tallying absentee ballots and in-person voting figures because of the new election law.”
Here’s an exit poll which looks great for Youngkin:

I don’t have much else to share with you, but this is your election night open thread. We’ll announce in a new post who won as soon as we know it.
UPDATE: If I see something good I’m just going to lob it in here. So refresh every once in a while…
Early early early early, but the Virginia county with the highest % of precincts reporting at the moment is Richmond (which isn't where the city is located) at around 38%. Youngkin outperforming both Trump and Gillespie there by ~10 points, which is where he needs to be.
