A Virginia state senator has been charged with two felonies for her alleged involvement in the damaging of a large Confederate monument during protests in the city of Portsmouth, authorities said Monday.
WAVY-TV reports Democratic state Sen. Louise Lucas faces charges of of conspiracy to commit a felony and injury to a monument in excess of $1,000.
During protests in June, heads were ripped off some of the statues while one was pulled down, critically injuring a demonstrator.
Portsmouth Police Chief Angela Greene said during a Monday afternoon news conference that several people have warrants out against them. Besides Sen. Lucas, they include a local school board member as well as members of the NAACP and the public defender’s office.
We are seeing this more and more around the country, that Democrats who are in political officer are participating in these riots. Tucker Carlson tonight talked about a Minnesota Democrat who led a protest outside a family’s home, screaming at girls just standing on their lawn about how racist they are, even threatening violence on them:

Absolutely disgusting, but Tucker said he was allowed to apologize and that was the end of it. Why wasn’t he forced to resign? Because, as Tucker put it, his Democrat colleagues agree with him.
I know it’s an election year and things are absolutely crazy. But this kind of garbage happening all over the place, with elected officials participating in it, doesn’t bode well for America’s future.
