Governor DeSantis has taken aim at the Federal Reserve in his recent remarks, blasting it for contributing to inflation by printing so much money and for doing a horrible job overall for the last few years.
Vivek Ramaswamy took note of this today and suggested that DeSantis is copying his message, word for word, over criticisms he made of the fed last month:
Glad Ron is watching & slowly learning. Exact same message, verbatim, one month later: the pattern continues again. 😅 https://t.co/eTiVC6yvev

But what was quickly pointed out by Vivek’s followers was that DeSantis has been criticizing the fed for a long time, not just recently. And that he’s not copying him:

Your team should do better oppo research so you don’t end up with an easily disproven claim. https://t.co/bqIUaP0Rgb

Ron DeSantis has been bad mouthing the Fed (under Trump) for years.
The world doesn’t revolve around you. Why are you personally against DeSantis?

Imagine the chutzpah required to think one patented the idea that the Fed is to blame for some of our major economic woes.
Pretty sure Allan Meltzer, Milton Friedman, and countless other prominent 20th-century economists would like a word from the grave. https://t.co/9Jp3lSiMkm

It is honestly hard for me to understand why Vivek Ramaswamy, who arrived on the political scene literally twenty minutes ago, has decided to make his big rhetorical pitch "all these other guys are stealing my bits!" https://t.co/fwIotaz6Dw
