A new interview with AG Barr will be on Martha McCallum’s show tonight, and in a preview Barr accuses Comey of lying about being ‘seven steps removed’ from the investigation into Trump’s campaign:
Barr says he doesn’t believe Comey and proceeds to point out why:
“One of the problems with what happened was precisely that they pulled the investigation up to the executive floors and it was run and bird-dogged by a very small group of very high level officials. The idea that this was seven layers below him is simply not true.”
Barr is also not a fan of how Comey is wrapping himself in the FBI to deflect criticism of himself:
