A Democratic lawmaker in Alabama recently made some absolutely horrendous comments about abortion. Just mind-blowingly bad.
Rep. John Rogers, who claims to be Catholic, says that abortion is horrible and that he doesn’t believe in it. Yet he also says he believes in a woman’s right to choose.
Then comes the worst part:
My problem is that you don’t take [into consideration] incest, you don’t take [into consideration] rape. You will bring a child into the world and no one will adopt that child. Period. I can tell you right now where a whole lot of black kids are up for adoption. That child was brought into the world unloved and unwanted. So you kill them now or kill them later. So if you bring ’em now and you don’t kill ’em now, they’re sent to the electric chair later on down the road or incarcerated in prison. Your unwanted child. That’s what bothers me.
In a second clip from the same horrendous speech Rogers doubles down on what he said above, but also putting a woman’s right to choose at the center of his argument with his own reverse-male-chauvinistic spin on it:
“All I’m saying to you is it ought to be the woman’s choice. I’m not about to be the male telling a woman what to do with her body. She has a right to make that decision herself. Through rape or incest. Some kids are unwanted. So you kill them now or you kill them later. You bring them in the world unwanted, unloved, you send them to the electric chair. So, you kill them now or you kill them later. But the bottom line is just that I think we shouldn’t be making that decision.”

What this Democrat is espousing is so beyond the pale it’s hard to believe he can say out of one side of his mouth that he’s a Christian and he thinks abortion is horrible but yet also argues that unwanted kids should be aborted.
This is so vile that I’m honestly at a loss for words.
Donald Trump Jr. wasn’t though, who tweeted:
“This is stomach curling and makes Ralph Northam look like a moderate on abortion.
Every Democrat running for President needs to be asked where they stand on this. The extreme turn we’ve seen from Dems on abortion recently is truly sickening.
Rep. John Rogers was then asked by the media about Trump Jr’s criticism yesterday and he literally suggested Trump Jr. was retarded and that he should have been aborted (h/t: The Blaze):
Hey, that’s an honor. Donald Trump Jr. said that, thank God. Right on. That’s how I know I’m right. Because I don’t know nothing he’s been right on since he’s been here. That proves the right to make a decision about abortion. Him being born, that proves the right. That’s a very, very good defense I have for abortion right there – him, look at him.
A woman should’ve aborted him when he was born. What the hell, he wouldn’t have made that stupid statement, right? So his parents made a decision for him. That’s fresh proof I’ve got that the mother ought to have the right to have an abortion. They made a decision to have him, didn’t they?
They could’ve aborted him. But they made a decision to keep him. Because he’s evidently retarded. Or crazy. Donald Trump’s son, I know it’s something wrong with the boy. I can look at him and tell something’s wrong with him. That’s the best defense I’ve got for abortion right there is looking at him.
Just loathsome and despicable.
Remember that passage in Matthew 25 about the sheep and the goats? Unless Rogers changes his heart, I have a strong feeling that he’s gonna be on the wrong side of that judgment.
