WATCH: Alan Dershowitz explains the absurdity of Giuliani’s law license being suspended

Alan Dershowitz says he taught ‘Legal Ethics’ for 35 years at Harvard and that he’s never seen a case like this:

Dershowitz says he doesn’t believe the case against Giuliani will hold up, noting that his law license was suspended without any due process whatsoever.

But he also notes that what they are accusing Giuliani of is absurd, noting that if they applied this same standard to everyone there’d be no lawyers left:

“The criteria under which he was essentially disbarred…is so vague. It says anybody who says anything to a third party that turns out not to be true – I mean my god there’d be no lawyers left. Plea bargains, associations always involve puffing of your side, always involve exaggerations. I taught legal ethics for 35 years at Harvard; I’ve never seen a case like this.”

Dershowitz goes on to expound on this further, so be sure and watch the video for more…

MEANWHILE, the former FBI agent who was charged with altering an email to the FISA court in the phony Trump Russia scandal might actually get to resume practicing law in a year:

Here’s more:

Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith has agreed to a one-year suspension of his attorney license in Washington, D.C., following his conviction in August 2020 on a felony false-statement charge arising from the internal review of the special counsel’s Russia investigation, new bar records show.

Clinesmith and his lawyers at Lathrop GPM signed a negotiated discipline with the District of Columbia office of disciplinary counsel on June 11 that set out the proposed suspension.

A hearing committee of the District of Columbia Board on Professional Responsibility is expected to take up the proposal at a public hearing on July 19.

The hearing committee can approve or reject a negotiated bar sanction.

If the panel approves the penalty, Clinesmith would lose the ability to practice law until August 2021, one year after he reported his guilty plea to the D.C. disciplinary counsel’s office. Clinesmith’s bar license is suspended on an interim basis in Michigan, where he has an attorney license.

An ex-FBI agent who lied to a secret FISA court in order to justify surveillance on Trump’s campaign might get his law license back in a year. But Giuliani, who had his law license stripped from him without even a hearing because he dared defend Trump over the 2020 election, could lose his law license permanently if New York State has its way.

It’s truly unbelievable.
