This is why you should always treat your package deliveries like they have coronavirus on them:

I have no idea what this delivery guy was doing. Was he wiping off a smudge? Or was he maliciously spitting on the package to spread coronavirus or just be an ass? I hope for his and everyone’s sake it was the former.
Amazon is now aware of the incident and are investigating it. Here’s what they told the NY Post:
An Amazon spokesperson told The Post in an email: “This is clearly not representative of drivers who deliver for Amazon and the care they take for customers around the world every day. We are aggressively investigating to understand what may have occurred in this situation. If it truly was a malicious act by the driver, we will be sure he is held accountable, up through and including law enforcement action.”
Even if this was an honest mistake, you should always treat packages that get delivered to your home as if they are contaminated. Either wear gloves or do like I do and stab them with a knife and take them to the kitchen sink. Gloves are probably smarter. Then spray them down with lysol or some other disinfectant.
