Jaime Herrera Beutler, a RINO from Washington State, joined Liz Cheney and eight other Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump with Democrats in January, even though he’d done nothing wrong and was soon leaving office.
Now Beutler has an America First challenger for her seat and he sounds absolutely terrific. Meet Joe Kent:
Kent is an 20-year Army veteran, saying he joined the Army at 18 and earned his way into the Ranger regiment and ultimately Special Forces. He said when 9/11 happened he was exactly where he wanted to be, fighting for this country.
“I became an America First Republican after watching our government lie about regime change wars and ship our economy overseas.”
Kent reminds us that his wife Shannon Kent, who he says blessed him with two children, died in 2019 fighting ISIS in Syria. If you recall, this Gold Star husband met President Trump last year and we wrote about it here.
He was devastated by his wife’s death and said that he left his job in the intel community and returned home to the Pacific Northwest, only to watch the lockdowns and riots of 2020 unfold around him.
