Bernie Sanders has now entered the fray of 2020 Democratic candidates vying for the presidency.
When asked by host John Dickerson on CBS This Morning what his distinguishing characteristic would be, Sanders said it would be the fact that he’s shifted the party to the radical left:
Bernie suggests that three years ago the ideas he talked about when campaigning against Hillary, ideas like ‘Medicare for All’, raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour and making colleges tuition free, were said by people in his party to be too radical.
But three years later he says these ideas are now mainstream in his party, and he’s very proud to have shifted the party to the radical socialist left.
The next thing you know Bernie’s gonna make bread lines cool! Listen to how he spun the idea of ‘bread lines’ in his youth!
