[UPDATE: “You’ll be the first person I call”] – Biden SMIRKS dismissively when asked about Americans he’s about to leave behind in Afghanistan, then feed gets CUT

Joe Biden actually smirked dismissively today when asked about Americans he’s about to leave behind in Afghanistan at the end of a presser:

Biden had just ended his presser, thanked them for being there, and said they were now going private.

So of course reporters started yelling out questions, with one of them asking what he’s going to do if Americans are left behind in Afghanistan after his deadline.

That’s when Biden smirks and just before he responds, the audio is cut from the feed. I have a feeling his answer was as unsatisfactory as his presidency.

But why was he smirking about this? It looks like he’s not taking this seriously at all. Which isn’t completely surprising, but normally politicians are good enough to at least pretend for the cameras. Meanwhile, we’ve got desperate Americans still in Afghanistan who can’t get out and Biden smirks when asked about it?

UPDATE: Here’s Biden’s snarky response to the question of stranded Americans when his feed got cut:

“You’ll be the first person I call.”

What the hell kind of answer is that?
