WATCH: Brave pastor tackles gunman at his church

In a bizarre moment yesterday, a man with a gun stepped up on to the altar of Nashville Light Mission Pentecostal Church and began waving it in the air, telling people to stand up.

The pastor, who pretended like he was heading for an exit, instead snuck up behind the guy at the altar and tackled him from behind. It was an amazing act of bravery. He is totally a hero.

The actual video of the incident starts at 1:16:

After the pastor tackled Dezire Baganda from behind, everyone else helped him hold the man down until police arrived.

According to NBC News, “Baganda was charged Sunday with 15 counts of felony aggravated assault. Multiple counts are expected to be added this week, police said.”

This is just one more reason to carry a gun. The pastor and his congregation were fortunate yesterday that it turned out the way it did. It could have easily been much worse.
