WATCH: Bret Baier lays out the BOTTOM LINE on the failed impeachment inquiry Schiff show

In his analysis of the hearings earlier today, Bret Baier explained that the entire impeachment inquiry comes down to one person:

Here’s what Baier said:

The whole thing for me came down to one person, and that was Republican lawmaker Will Hurd from Texas. He is a moderate Republican who is not seeking reelection. In other words, there is no political fallout from it.

He said the president acted inappropriately on that call. But he does not see anything that is bribery or extortion or impeachable. He said it’s an ugly process, a sloppy process but it’s not impeachable.

That to me suggests if you can’t get Will Hurd, it’s going to be tough to get 20 Republican Senators.

Brit Hume, Baier’s predecessor, said something very similar on Twitter tonight: “If the Dems can’t convince lame duck former CIA man Will Hurd, no Trump admirer, what chance do they have with Senate Republicans?”
