As you know Trump has been bashing Fox News over their recent polling, which shows him losing to several of the 2020 candidates.
Trump claims something has changed at Fox News and he doesn’t like it.
Last night Bret Baier responded to Trump via DC Examiner:
Baier tells Trump that nothing has changed, that Fox News has an opinion side and a news side and the news side does the polls.
He also pointed out to Trump that their polling is consistent with the averages at Real Clear Politics, which show Trump losing in certain head to head battles.
And lastly Baier asks Trump to come on his show, citing the fact that he’s given George Stephanopoulos and Chuck Todd interviews, asking him to “come on back” for an interview.
I think what Trump is alluding to when he says something has changed is the ‘management’, which certainly has changed after Ailes was ousted. Baier doesn’t mention that but he can’t be expected to and I’m pretty sure it’s not relevant to the network’s polling.
