WATCH: Chris Wallace says ‘I think the Tara Reade story disappears’ before November election

Fox’s Chris Wallace had a kind of correct take today, but for kind of the wrong reasons, when he said that the Tara Reade story — you know, the woman alleging sexual misconduct by serial-toucher Joe Biden, a Democrat — won’t stick around for election day.

Bill Hemmer, interviewing Wallace, said “What appears to be obvious now is that Tara Reade’s gonna be around for the next six months and that means that she will be around during this campaign.” said Hemmer. “

“How does that play out?” he asked.

“I’m not sure she’s going to be around for six months,” Wallace replied. “She’s told her story. People will make of it what they will.”

“My own feeling about this is that, unless there is some new smoking gun that comes out or another woman, and there’s no reason to suspect that, but unless something new comes to feed the fire I think the Tara Reade story disappears like the Christine Blasey Ford story disappeared and like the women who made allegations against President Trump, that their stories disappeared over time.”

No reason to suspect? That sounds like CNN and Democrats claiming there is no “pattern” of behavior for Biden that would support this (there is), and that that’s why it’s not hypocritical of them to ignore it or attack Reade when they acted differently with allegations against Brett Kavanaugh since they had a “pattern” there (they did not).

Also, Wallace says that Christine Blasey Ford’s story went away, which I laughed at a lot because that’s a horse puckey, they painted Kavanaugh and judge him by that paint relentlessly now and forever.

But he’s right, Tara Reade’s story will go away. But not because that’s “just kinda what happens.” It goes away because Biden is a Democrat.
