To her credit, Meet the Press host Kristen Welker asked Cory Booker whether there is any evidence that the Trump administration profited off the stock market during the tariff announcement, or whether it’s just a fishing expedition.
At first Booker didn’t answer the question, but when pressed by Welker, all he could say is that there is ‘smoke’:
Where does this newfound desire to investigate the president come from? You want to talk about smoke? There was tons of smoke, including a whistleblower who was there, regarding Joe Biden and his crime family profiting off selling his influence with China and Ukraine, among other countries. It was more like a raging fire, but Democrats never cared one iota about investigating him for any of it.
