Elon Musk announced today that for maybe the first time in his life, he’s going to vote Republican in this election.

After explaining why Twitter needs to be way more non-partisan and transparent when it comes to shadow-banning and censorship in general, Musk says:
The reality is that Twitter, at this point, has a very far left bias. I would classify myself as a moderate, neither Republican nor Democrat. And in fact I have voted overwhelmingly for Democrats historically. Overwhelmingly. I’m not sure….I might never have voted for a Republican just to be clear. Now this election, I will.
The point I’m trying to make is that this is not some right-wing takeover as people on the left may fear. But rather a moderate-wing takeover and an attempt to ensure that people of all political beliefs feel welcome on a digital town square and they can express their beliefs…
I’m sure Biden and Democrats will be furious at Musk for saying this, but assumping he completes his purchase of Twitter they’ll be furious anyway. So what.
Also, let’s just be clear that Elon Musk is not alone. There will be many people voting Republican for the first time or the first time in some years after realizing just how much Democrats have lied to them about everything.
But it is awesome that Musk is not afraid to admit that he’s voting Republican for the first time, because he will be relentlessly smeared and attacked for it.
