This morning in the hearing, Gordon Sondland testified that Trump told him directly he doesn’t want a quid pro quo with Ukraine, that he didn’t want anything from them:
Sondland testified that he asked Trump “what do you want from Ukraine” and Trump responded that he didn’t want anything from Ukraine:
“I want nothing. I want nothing. I want no quid pro quo. Tell Zelensky to do the right thing.”
Sondland also testified that he never heard Trump link aid to the investigations:
The most important quote out of this hearing so far:
Sondland: "I've never heard from President Trump that the aid was conditioned on the investigations." He reached this conclusion on his own.
So, in short, yet another witness who can't testify to the Democrats' accusations.

Below is video of that:
He’s even reported to have said that it was own personal guess:
SONDLAND: “President Trump never told me directly that the aid was conditioned on the meetings. The only thing we got directly from Guiliani was that the Burisma and 2016 elections were conditioned on the White House meeting. The aid was my own personal, you know, guess.”

I have a feeling Republicans will hammer this home as the hearing continues.
