Last week the media went hysterical over the fact that Governor DeSantis was on ‘vacation’, claiming he was MIA while COVID cases were surging. We posted some of what he said about that earlier this week, where he quipped that maybe he should have gone to the beach in Delaware like Biden and the media would have been happy.
Today, in response to a question about the health of the First Lady, DeSantis revealed that he was in fact down in Tampa on the 29th with his wife while she was getting treatment for her breast cancer, something he said is not easy for her to go through:
DeSantis didn’t say too much about his wife’s current condition, but he did suggest that they aren’t out of the woods yet. He noted that sometimes she’s doing okay, and other times she’s worse.
He did indicate that he believes they are getting closer to the end of her cancer and said, optimistically, “our view is that 2022 will be the year that we can say she is cancer free.”
I pray that day will come very soon for them.
