A resident of Lahaina on the island of Maui, Hawaii, is scoffing at the $700 given to them by Joe Biden when he’s sending millions to Ukraine.
This resident says she lost her entire home and her animals in the fire. All of her medicine and money was in her home and now she has nothing. And all she gets is $700 from Joe Biden.
She is furious:

I did a little research and here’s what FEMA is saying about this:
It sounds like $700 is only the initial money to help with immediate needs. Hopefully she applies for this disaster assistance and gets a lot more money to start rebuilding her life. I don’t know how long that process takes, but my guess is that it won’t be as quick as she needs it to be.
