WATCH: Here’s DEFINITIVE video to settle the Kavanaugh ‘handshake controversy’

There’s a dumb handshake controversy going around about Kavanaugh from today’s hearing.

A man whose kid was killed in the Parkland massacre decided to offer his hand to Kavanaugh who was getting up to go to lunch. But Kavanaugh didn’t shake his hand and walked away.

Here’s the original video that’s gone viral:

The man, Fred Guttenberg, tweeted this soon after:

Liberals everywhere are going nuts.

The White House responded via Raj Shah:

Guttenberg responded, saying no security intervened:

But Raj Shah tweets again, this time with video proof that security intervened:

Clearly you can see the security agent coming up behind Guttenberg and Kavanaugh can clearly see him. The security agent even looked right at Guttenberg, who clearly lied about it.

Here’s another video:

In this video you can see the security agent speed up when he sees Guttenberg heading for Kavanaugh. He clearly intervened.

So why would Guttenberg lie? Perhaps this is the reason…

He wants to keep Kavanaugh from being nominated, so he lied on Twitter to make it seem like Kavanaugh was just some prick or something.

Here’s the bottom line. Even if security hadn’t intervened, the man never should have approached Kavanaugh in the first place. It was irresponsible. And what was Kavanaugh supposed to think? In a hearing where many in the room are so hostile to him that his own daughters had to leave; senators are being obstructive while protesters keeping yelling interruptions – is he just supposed to shake some stranger’s hand? Heck no.

Kavanaugh made the appropriate choice and anyone trying to make hay out of this is just being absurd.
