WATCH: Inspector General Horowitz admits he cannot rule out political bias as motivation for FISA abuses

Horowitz admitted today that he could not rule out political bias when it comes to the gross FISA abuses committed by those at the FBI:

The issue that Graham is bringing up is that, upon interviewing the subsource for the Steele dossier, the FBI learned in January of 2017 of exculpatory evidence regarding the dossier. Yet they didn’t reveal this exculpatory evidence as they sought the FISA warrant.

Asking Horowitz why these FBI officials failed to reveal this exculpatory evidence to the DOJ lawyers aiding them with the FISA, Horowitz said that’s a question he could not answer. Asked if he could rule out political bias, Horowitz said “I do not know their state of mind at this point”.

Horowitz did say he was referring all five of this FBI agents for further investigation, which was a reference to what he said in his opening remarks:
