WATCH: Jim Jordan suggests Trump ‘crime’ in hush money case is nothing more than a ‘bookkeeping error’

House Republican Jim Jordan was on Fox News today to discuss the fact that his Judiciary committee, as well as others, are calling on the Soros prosecutor Alvin Bragg to come before Congress and explain what’s going on in this hush money case that’s so criminal that they may indict former President Trump.

As he was discussing the case, Jordan suggested that what they are going after Trump on is nothing more than bookkeeping error.

I love how Jordan distills what’s led us up to this point in terms of all the investigation that’s gone on with this hush money case:

…And now it’s some misdemeanor alledged bookkeeping error. And this is from this prosecutor who initially didn’t want to do this. In fact he had people resign because he wasn’t going to do this because no one else will bring this case. The DOJ didn’t bring the case. The federal district in New York didn’t bring the case. The previous prosecutor in the district there in Manhattan didn’t bring the case. Mr. Bragg himself didn’t want to bring the case. But then he got pressured, I think, from the left.

And I would say this. The one thing that I think has changed his mind is that President Trump announced he was going to run for president again. And suddenly, here they go. Now they’re coming after him for some alledged bookkeeping error? You’ve got to be kidding me!

During Jordan’s interview they played a clip from Andy McCarthy today saying that no one who isn’t named Donald Trump would have ever been charged with this. Clearly even Alvin Bragg didn’t want to charge Trump with this before he was running for president.

I think Jordan nails it on the head that this prosecution by Bragg only came after intense pressure on the left, just like Biden pressured his hack attorney general to investigate Trump January 6th.
