Jonathan Turley weighed in on the appointment of the special prosecutor for Hunter Biden and explained why he’s not delighted by it.

Here’s what he says: “I was not surprised but I was not nearly as delighted as I would’ve been two years ago when many of us were calling for this appointment. They waited for the appointment of a special counsel after the statute of limitations has run on critical crimes, like the tax violations in 2014/2015. They waited until Weiss himself was accused of slowing or suppressing efforts…”
Catherine Herridge also spoke with a former federal prosecutor who believes this appointment will delay a resolution of the Hunter Biden matter and keep Weiss from testifying to the House committees about being stymied in his Hunter Biden investigation:

UPDATE: Attorney Marina Medvin asks a great question: “Are they doing this to interfere with Trump’s expected court filing — Motion to Dismiss for Selective Prosecution?”
The Hunter Biden special counsel announcement is a sham. The DOJ has already let the statute of limitations run on the felonies that they’re investigating … it’s a sham… the investigation is not likely to yield charges that could be filed.
