This morning we’ve already told you how Pelosi is warning illegals on how to avoid being deported by ICE. Well Kevin McCarthy has a different take, telling the press this morning “It is the Speaker who is causing this problem”:
Trump’s nationwide deportation raids, expected to start Sunday, has Dems vigorously warning people of what ICE can — and cannot — legally do.
Republicans say it’s simply a matter of “the rule of law,” with McCarthy blaming Dems for not taking action on illegal immigration sooner pic.twitter.com/eCR3wE3q5U

Look this isn’t just about Trump delaying the deportations for a couple of weeks. Trump has been shouting from the rooftops all year long as we’ve watched this surge of migrants flooding the border skyrocket, that these asylum laws must be changed by Congress. But nothing has been done about it.
Even before Democrats won the House, they still had enough of the Senate to prevent any changes to the asylum policies. The only way for McConnell to pass the needed changes in the Senate would have been for him to dump the filibuster, and he’s clearly worried about the long-term implications of doing that. And I say all of this knowing that we have plenty of RINOs in both the House and the Senate to complicate this further.
But all that said, McCarthy isn’t wrong. We are neck deep in this migration crisis and Pelosi is clearly to blame for not trying to fix our asylum laws. Trump is doing all he can with Mexico to get some relief at the border, but it’s really a short-term fix. Our asylum laws must be toughened and someone has to step up and do it.
