Lauren Boebert sat down with Michael Knowles to discuss the negotiations with Kevin McCarthy and what’s happened to break that trust.
Boebert explained how they began negotiating last summer with McCarthy, but he brushed them off thinking he was going to have a red wave and wouldn’t need their votes.
But then when it was apparent there was no red wave, McCarthy began negotiating with them and it seemed like it was working out.
Then came January and McCarthy went back on some of the things he said and claimed Boebert and the others were being selfish.
Now the trust is broken.
