Lee County Florida Sheriff Carmine Marceno, who describes himself as “Florida’s Law & Order Sheriff” on social media, spoke at the Hurricane Ian relief and recovery presser on Saturday with Gov. Ron DeSantis and others involved in the rebuilding.
Marceno offered incredibly high praise of Gov. DeSantis, and not just fluff but specifics on the future president’s incredible leadership.
He had an even more awesome moment as he warned looters about trying to take advantage of hardship and harm the people in his county.
“We are a law and order state. Lee County is a law and order county,” said Marceno. “If you’re lucky, and you loot in the state of Florida, in Lee County, you end up going to jail.”
And then he explained what happens if you’re NOT lucky enough to go to jail.
Watch:
“I will tell you if somebody makes that mistake of trying to prey on one our great residents,” said Marceno. “You might be able to walk into a home. You will be carried out.”
So good. “People have the right to be safe and secure, and we are 100% on it from the air, the waterways, and boots on the ground.”
You gotta love. Has Florida become Texas II?
