The House chamber is officially in session as of 12 noon to go another round voting for the Speaker of the House, with Mike Johnson having his turn.
There are a lot of positive and optimistic predictions for the vote today, with the prediction that we’ll finally get a speaker. But we’ve heard it all before and I won’t believe we have the votes until I see it.
The House is checking for quorum right now and then they’ll proceed with a vote to see if Mike Johnson becomes the next speaker and Republicans can get out of this quagmire.
