Mitch McConnell took to the floor of the Senate today and castigated House Democrats for leading an unfair impeachment inquiry in order to cancel out a presidency:

"For all the public hyperventilating over institutional norms that we've heard from House Dems… it appears that they have no intention of letting norms, precedents, or basic due process stand in the way as they seek to cancel out a presidency." pic.twitter.com/y1HIlcHAt7

McConnell argues that this is one of the most consequential processes the House could engage in and yet House Democrats are not allowing Republicans any rights in this impeachment inquiry.
McConnell highlights two big ones, saying that Republicans are not allowed equal subpoena power. Nor is the president’s counsel allowed to participate in the hearings, present evidence or cross-examine witnesses. All of which he said Republicans afforded Democrats and President Clinton during those impeachment proceedings.
McConnell says Pelosi has crumbled to her left-wing impeachment caucus and they are now finding new was to lower the bar as they attempt “to cancel out a presidency” and nullify an election.
