An alternative title for this Morning Joe clip is one I saw on Twitter from Liam Donovan: “So much butthurt here.”
The clip starts out with Bill Kristol arguing that the Republican Party needs to come clean about the mess they’ve created with Trump but then blows up with Kristol attacks Morning Joe for going easy on Trump last fall.

Despite what Joe says, I think many feel that in general they did go easy on Trump. They had him on all the time and let him say whatever he wanted. They used him to boost their ratings and did it with a big smile on their face.
But then that was the case for much of the media too. They all used Trump for ratings which is why he had so, so much free media compared to all the other candidates.
