Democrats were hoping to use the Mueller hearings to push impeachment, as we all know. But two different MSNBC hosts admit that this Mueller hearing isn’t what Democrats had hoped it would be:
Chuck Todd said that Democrats were hoping for a ‘dramatic’ moment that would ‘capture the imagination’ for impeachment, but says Mueller has done nothing to advance that cause.
Ari Melber said something similar, noting that today was supposed to be the day that people would SEE and HEAR and FEEL the impeachment narrative. But he says Mueller didn’t contribute that today’s hearing didn’t land where Democrats were hoping it would land.
If this is what MSNBC is saying on-air, you can just imagine what Democrats are saying behind closed doors and off-air on the network.
