Ocasio-Cortez just claimed that the right doctored a video of her ‘occupation of Palestine’ comments last summer and that’s what ended up on Fox News for everyone to see.

That’s not true at all. Not even close.

What went around last year was a clip, in context, of her comments:

You know, looking back at that video now, what’s amazing to me is that I don’t think Ocasio-Cortez even realized that she’d said “occupation of Palestine” when the host asked her about it. The words ‘occupation of Palestine’ just rolled out of her mouth because that’s the way she’s used to thinking about it.

Then when asked about it, she was like….oh…duh…um….

Which is also interesting because in the longer clip I gave you she does say she supports Israel’s right to exist and a two-state solution. But then calls Israel an occupier?

She was still wet behind the ears at the time. What you had there was a crafted policy position on Israel’s right to exist versus her admitting the truth that she really feels Israel is occupying Palestinian lands. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t also support Israel’s right to exist, but it sounds to me like she would only support their right to exist outside of what territories she’d want the Palestinians to have as part of their state, which means she would probably divide Jerusalem and force Israel to give up Judea and Samaria as well. Just a guess.
