Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a message for all of the fact-checkers out there: stop worrying about her mistakes.
AOC says people are too concerned about her being precisely, factually, and semantically correct. She says she’s morally right and that’s what really matters:
“There's a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right,” @AOC says in response to criticism that she’s made factual errors. https://t.co/sKf3sHl9F6 pic.twitter.com/xKc2eB7GEk

In other words, don’t worry about the fact that she has no idea how to pay for her socialist healthcare-for-all plan. She’s morally right or something, and that’s what matters.
The WAPO fact-checker responded to her comments:

Here’s some other great responses:
This is not a binary choice. And there's no excuse for not doing your homework. And the only correct response to being shown to be factually wrong is to correct/acknowledge/apologize for your error. https://t.co/A4In1t4X8E

I fail to see how it's ever morally right to be factually wrong. https://t.co/CtijknQLS7

And...yet...every word or thought by @realDonaldTrump is scrutinized & highlighted - any misstatement hype ventilated over by the media- here's the bright line difference - @AOC & the @DNC are DECEPTIVE with facts & they expect a pass because they are "lying" for greater good... https://t.co/K14lrvJeOV
