As you already know socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez released her absurd ‘Green New Deal’ yesterday which proposes very radical changes to the very nature of our everyday lives, from getting rid of all fossil fuels to promising government jobs to everyone in just 10 years. Etc.
It was criticized very heavily on the right, and well deserved I might add, as a big government takeover of everything. Because that’s exactly what it is.
Yesterday on NPR Ocasio-Cortez admitted that her proposal would indeed require ‘massive government intervention’. But then she changed her tune later in the day accusing Republicans of mischaracterizing it as a ‘massive government takeover’.

I’m sure she’ll play semantics and argue that ‘takeover’ and ‘intervention’ are two different things, but we all know that’s absolutely not true, at least as it relates to this. The only way the government can affect this kind of change is to control everything!
I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out that this level of control is at the very heart of what has broken-down Venezuela’s society so that people are now eating scraps out of garbage cans and Maduro is in the process of being defeated in a coup.
But hey, AOC is so cool and likeable isn’t she!
