WATCH: Oklahoma woman refuses to comply with police officer over broken tail light, ends up getting tased and arrested!

This isn’t a new video by any stretch, but it’s new to me and I really wanted you to see it because there’s a lesson here for everyone:

This happened in July of 2019, when a police officer stopped a woman with a broken tail light. The officer issued the woman an $80 citation because she’d be driving around with the broken light for six months. That’s when the woman, who felt she only deserved a warning ticket, decided she wasn’t going to sign the citation. The officer asked her twice to sign it and she blatantly refused.

The officer then asked the woman to step out of the vehicle because she was under arrest, but she refused and rolled up her window. She then fled the scene. The officer pursued her and the next thing we see is the officer, with gun drawn, commanding the lady to exit her vehicle.

She still refuses to exit the vehicle, so the officer pulls her out and puts her on the ground. She then tries to kick the officer and he ends up tasing her at least once, maybe twice. He’s finally able to cuff her.

What a scene this turned into over a freaking $80 dollar citation for defective equipment. In some ways I felt bad seeing an older lady on the ground being tased, but this was all her fault! It never had to happen. She thought she could sass her way out of ticket and it ended up going really bad for her. And I don’t blame the cop in any way here. She had the opportunity to be arrested with more dignity and respect and, like she did by refusing to sign the ticket, she continually chose the wrong path.

“Pride comes before disaster, and arrogance before a fall.” Literally.
