Mike Pompeo just came out of a meeting with Senators who wanted more information on the Khashoggi murder and Trump’s defense of the Saudi Crown Prince.
Pompeo told reporters that he’s seen all of the intelligence and that there’s no direct reporting that connects the crown prince to Khashoggi’s murder:
Pompeo: There is no direct reporting connecting with the crown prince to order the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. And that's all I can say in a unclassified setting. https://t.co/qQS5FzHzHF pic.twitter.com/HeYNuAONiO

What’s interesting is that CIA Director Gina Haspel had been invited but was a no-show. Senators apparently didn’t like it, according to Flakey:
Sen. Flake: "I wish she [Gina Haspel] would have been there. A lot of us were frustrated that she wasn't." https://t.co/ixxYL5ybfK pic.twitter.com/uD1ms4zceO

He says they didn’t get answers as to why she wasn’t there and he didn’t want to speculate. But the obvious elephant in the room is that the CIA assessment reportedly blamed the Saudi Crown Prince and perhaps that’s why she wasn’t there, because she might have been contradicting Trump.
When Pompeo was asked why she wasn’t there, he simply stonewalled the press:
Reporter: Why wasn't the CIA director here briefing senators on Saudi Arabia and Yemen?
Sec. Pompeo: "I was asked to be here, and here I am." pic.twitter.com/y5tPYweexo

Obviously Haspel was told not to be there, which is why no one is explaining her absence.
Yeah, it sounds suspicious.
