President Trump just spoke with the press as he heads to the border in Texas, calling out Big Tech for their censorship and defending the speech he gave before the Capitol riot (It’s cued up to 7:40 where it begins):
We reported yesterday that Kevin McCarthy said Trump told him he bears some responsibility for the Capitol riot, but we didn’t get any of that from Trump today. Rather, he said that people have analyzed his speech, including the last line, and that they’ve found it was totally appropriate.
Indeed, as we pointed out yesterday, Trump did not call for any violence at all. In fact he said in his speech that the marchers would “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard at the Capitol.
Trump also said that he believes there will be catastrophic consequences for the censorship that Big Tech is engaged in right now. He noted that a lot of people are angry, but suggested that people should always refrain from violence.
