Rep. Omar said at a progressive town hall in DC yesterday that she is fearful that her Jewish colleagues label everything she says about Israel as anti-Semitic in order to shut her up and silence the debate about Palestine.

Omar suggests in the video that when her Jewish colleagues, Jewish constituents and Jewish allies label something she says anti-Semitic, it’s because she’s Muslim and “it’s something that becomes designed to end the debate”.
Wow.
So let me get this straight. Is she saying that her Jewish colleagues, etc. aren’t smart enough to distinguish between appropriate criticism of Israel versus anti-Semitic remarks? Or is she saying they just want to shut her up about everything Israel because she’s Muslim?
Honestly, either one of those comes across to me as anti-Semitic.
Maybe I’m reading this all wrong, but it sounds like to me that’s what she’s really saying. And Rashida Tlaib is right there agreeing with every word of it.
