Rick Perry was asked a few minutes ago whether or not he believes Ted Cruz will eventually lend vocal support to Trump. Perry said that politics ain’t beanbag, and that he believes Ted Cruz will end up supporting Trump over Hillary at the end of the day:
I don’t know where Ted Cruz will come down on this. I know he doesn’t want Hillary to win, but I’m quite sure he’s not a supporter of Trump either. Whether or not time heals all of his wounds remains to be seen, but I just can’t see Cruz sticking his neck out for Trump after the disgusting way Trump treated him during the primary. In fact I hope he doesn’t, but I won’t hold it against him if he hedges on his current position.
