WATCH: Ron DeSantis spanks Nikki Haley over her BLM remarks

Governor Ron DeSantis spanked Nikki Haley this morning on CNN’s Sunday morning show over her remarks after George Floyd’s death and during the infamous BLM riots.

Haley had said in 2020 that Floyd’s death needed to be personal and painful for every single person.

DeSantis was having none of that and he explains why:

Tapper asked DeSantis “Do you not think that empathy is an important quality for a US president?”

DeSantis responded:

“Of course it is; nobody’s saying that. But to say that the actions of one police officer means that Americans in Iowa or Texas or Florida – that it should be painful for them when they had nothing to do with it? That does not make any sense. And so, that individual was arrested; he went through a criminal process. But that is not emblematic of police officers in general, much less the American public in general.

And I would note that was said at the time when we started to see the unrest in this country. You had massive riots that have destroyed cities like Minneapolis. It’s going to take decades for Minneapolis to be able to recover. So the response to that was totally out of bounds. We didn’t let that happen in Florida, I called out the National Guard. But that rioting was an absolute disgrace and it hurt this country.”

Right on governor. 100%.
