WATCH: Roy Moore explains why he really wants to be Senator after last night’s partial victory…

As you know Roy Moore won a partial victory last night with Luther Strange, sending the primary leaders into a runoff next month.

Moore was on with Fox and Friends this morning and, among other things, explained why he wants to be Senator:

I liked what he said about the filibuster rule being unconstitutional, that it’s just a Senate rule put on itself by itself. And he would obviously be in favor of kicking it to the curb in order to help get the Senate moving.

But he also feels the leadership (McConnell, of course) is blocking Trump’s agenda which he supports. He feels that he can make a difference in getting things moving again.

As an aside, this is what Daniel Horowitz points out regarding Moore last night:

But 68 percent of the voters rejected the establishment — with a whopping 39 percent voting for the winner, former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore. Despite being outspent by at least 25-1 between Strange and McConnell’s allies, Moore won 60 of the 67 counties in the state. An incumbent supported by a sitting Republican president who is popular in the state was edged out last night. That’s a big deal.

If we go by last night’s numbers and a good portion of the people who voted for Mo Brooks comes over to Roy Moore, then it’s going to be a cakewalk for him in September. I think Luther Strange has got to be worried. And he better be.
